TAUPIRI FUNCTION
FAREWELL GATHERING There was a large and representative gathering at the Taupiri bowling green and croquet lawn on Saturday afternoon, when Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Tapper and family were the guests of honour at a farewell function. In making a presentation 011 behalf of the residents, Mr. A. H. Waring spoke of the regret which all felt that Mr. and Mrs. Tapper were leaving the district. Mr. Tapper had been connected with Rugby football, was a member of the Taupiri School Committee and secretary of the Taupiri Bowling Club. Mrs. Tapper had taken an active part in the Taupiri Women's Institute and other organisations touching the public life of the district. Mrs. W. Lovell presented Mrs. Tapper with a bouquet of flowers. Among the ladies present were Mrs. E. P. Tapper, Miss V. Tapper, Mrs. G. Horwood, Mrs. E. Sowman, Mrs. S. Stanley, Mrs. J. Murphy, Mrs. A. H. Waring, Mrs. N. Jack ways, Mrs. Stevenson, Mrs. L.
