MAORI RACE SECTION
ANNUAL MEETING HELD There was an attendance of about 40 members at the annual meeting of the anthropology and Maori race section of the Auckland Institute and Museum, the chairman,. Mr. L. Hogwood, presiding. The , chairman commented on the healthy state of the section's finances and also on tho good work done by tho organisation during tho past year in providing interesting lectures and field days. The meeting agreed that the lectures for tho 1034 session should be' held in the library of the Auckland Institute, instead of in tho biology theatre of the Auckland University College, as in-previous years. At the conclusion of the business of the meeting three films, entitled "Primitive Drilling Methods," "Cooking in a Hangi," and "Kit Weaving" were screened. Tho following appointments were inado for the current session:—• Chairman, Mr. A. Geddcs; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Porter; committee, Misses (). M. Rutherford and 0. Adams and Messrs. George Graham, V. F. Fisher and E. Howard.
