THEFTS BY DOMESTIC TWO YEARS* PROBATION "Accused was apparently furnishing her flat at the expense of the complainant," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Polics Court on Saturday, when Ethel Delease Dowson, aged 22, domestic, was charged with stealing sheets, cutlery, clothing, preserved fruits and other .household articles, valued at £2O, the property of Dr. Donald Dixon McKenzie. Sub-Inspector Edwards said that accused, during the fortnight she had been employed by Dr. McKenzie,. had been apparently taking some of the goods home each night after finishing her work. She was living in a flat, where all the property had been recovered by the police. On the recommendation of Major Annie Gordon, probation officer, accused was admitted to 12 months' probation.
