JOURNALISTS' UNION
Cordial support of the draft scheme for an advanced course of winter lectures for journalists was given by the annual meeting of the Auckland Journalists' Union held on Saturday evening. Mr. E. C. Franklin presided. The annual report showed an increase of membership from 79 to 88. Tho'following officers were elected:— President, Mr. E. C. Franklin; vicepresident, Mr. H. C. Newell; committee, Messrs. L. Jillett, A. B. Rainger, G. L. Stanbrook, A. F. Grace, G. F. Inglis, It. A. Kenner, D. G. Kelsey, J. L. Cunningham, A. S. Itidling; representative on the council of the New Zealand Journalists' Association, Mr. Franklin; secretary, Mr. W. M. Barton; auditors, Messrs. T. Clarkson and W. A. Brodie; trustees, Messrs. C. L. Jewell and A'. Bullock.
