INJURED IN COLLISIONS
TWO MOTOR-CYCLISTS ONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION Serious injuries, including concussion, a fracture of tho leg and shock, were received by a motor-cyclist, Mr. Frank Young, aged 34, married, as a result of a collision between his machine and a motor-car on the waterfront road near Wateno Street, Orakei, about 4.45 p.m. on Saturday. Mr. Young, a barman employed at tho Station Hotel, lives at Marau Crescent, Miss ; <m Bay. The motor-car was driven by Mr. T). V. Harrison, contractor, of lluawai, North Auckland. The two machines met almost head-on, and Mr. Young was thrown heavily, and rendered unconscious. A St. John ambulance was summoned, and ho was taken to tho Auckland Hospital. Ilis condition last evening was serious. Mr. Harrison received slight cuts on tho faco and one hand through being struck by flying splinters of glass. Five passengers in his car escaped injury. Tho car was slightly damaged. As a result of being involved in a collision with a motor-car in Manukau Road early last evening a motor-cyclist, Mr. S. I). MeCalluin, a railway fitter, aged 25, single, suffered a compound fracture of tho leg. Both tho motorcycle and tho car were travelling toward Onchunga. Mr. MeCalluin was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance.
