COLLAPSE AT CARDS
ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH ONEHUNGA EUCHRE TOURNEY FORMER WHANGAREI FARMER Collapsing at a game of cards, an Onehunga resident, Mr. Patrick Fallon, aged 81, died suddenly on Saturday night about nine o'clock. During tho course of a weekly oucliro tournament conducted in St. Mary's Hall, Church Street, Onehunga, by a committee of tho Iloniiin Catholic parish, Mr. Fallon complained of feeling unwell and put down his cards. A few minutes afterwards he collapsed and ho was dead when Dr. J. Kirk wood arrived. As death was duo to heart failure no inquest will bo necessary. A native of Ireland, Mr. Fallon for many years was farming in Whnngarci. He retired about 10 years ago and settled at Onehunga. He lived alone at his residence in Church Street East and was a staunch member of the local Roman Catholic Church. Ho was also a member of tho To Papapa Bowling Club. He has relatives in tho Whangarei district.
