LOCAL BUTTER PRICES
SOME GRADES CHEAPER A further reduction of Id per lb. in the local prices of some grades of butter will become effective to-day. The wholesale net price cf finest remains at 9d per lb., but the new prices for other grades are as follows: —First grade, 8d; second grade, 7d; whey butter, 6d. Retail prices are generally 2d higher than the wholesale rates.
