HAIR SHAMPOOS

For oily hair it would be hard to do better than this egg shampoo. Shave one cako of pure white soap and add to it one pint of cold water, setting it over tho firo to simmer until dissolved. When it is entirely melted strain and set asido to cool and jelly. This will make enough for two shampoos. Before using add one well-beaten egg, one tablespoonful of rubbing alcohol, 2oz. of bay ruin, and one-eighth teaspoonful of powdered borax. Mix well and use. For dry hair a good shampoo consists of one 40/„ bar of pure white soap, shaved fine and dissolved in three quarts of boiling water. Add half a pint of alcohol and bottle. For using add three parts of hot water to one of jelly. Normal hair can be kept in splendid condition with a shampoo jelly mad© of pure soap and water, with tlw addition of ono egg well beaten.
