PAKURANGA HUNT

GOOD AFTERNOON'S SPORT Unusually good sport was enjoyed by the. Pnkuranga Hunt on Saturday, the going being vefy good after the rain, hares plentiful and tho hounds very fit. The hunt met at Ranginui, near Papatoetoe, and hounds threw off in Mr. Fox-Rogers' property, where a hare was put up. After running in a small circle tho hare went to ground in a drainpipe, but soon sought tho . open again, and a kill was made on Mr. O. McCaw's property.' Another hare was started shortly afterward and it took the hunt for a long run across tho farms of Mr. FoxRogers and Mr. W. Orr on to Mr. Wills McLaughlin's land. It then doubled back and was killed at, the back of Mr, FoxRogers' property. There were several other runs during the afternoon, and six kills were made. After the hunt Mr. and Mrs. Wills McLaughlin entertained the field to afternoon tea at their home at Puliinui. Tho followers included the master, Mr. H.
