RECORD FIELD OF NINETY RIDERS COMPETE IN THE AUCKLAND AMATEUR CYCLING CENTRE'S FIRST 1934 OPEN ROAD RACE" A stirring finish in the 22-mile race from Point Chevalier to Swanson and back—O. B. White (portrait inset) winning by three lengths from A. M. Keith, with L M. Nicholson in third place. White also secured fastest time, setting a new course record.
