CALLIOPE CLUB'S EVENTS The Calliope Harrier Club held a two and three-quarters miles handicap event for novices on Saturday and a race over tho same distance for those who had previously won trophies. Results are as follows •

Novices' Handicap.—J, Barrett (lm 50s), 16m 40s. 1 ; E. Turner dm 10s), 16m 475, 2: W. Chnrmnn (scr), IGIII 495, 3; W. 'Ushakoff (tin 30s), 16m 50s, 4; H. Chappell (255), lr.m 51s, 5. Charman secured fastest lime, 10m 49h.

Senior Handicap.—A. Clow (scr), 10m 4s. 1; A, Davis (lm 30s), 10m 3Qs, 2; A. Clayton (scr). 10m 355, 3: W. Drummond (lm 50s), 17m Is, 4; D. Smith 375, 5. A. Clow secured fastest time and broke the courso record.

PRESBYTERIAN CLUB The second run of the Presbyterian Bible Class Harrier, Club's season drew an entry of 31, The course was over a distance of fivo and a-half miles. UNIVERSITY CLUB A run of about six miles was held by Die University Harrier Club on Saturday, starting from St. George's Hall, Ranfurly Road. Tho course led over Mount St. John, and then, after a spell of road, across broken country behind Ono Tree Hill. One Tree Hill was crossed, and a scratch runin of 300.vds was held. About 30 runners took part in tho run, and divided into two packs. Tho run-in resulted:—R. C. Has7,ard, 1; H. Maxwell, 2; K. Watson, 3; A. E. Goodwin, 4; H. E, Whitlen, 5; K. Griffon, 0. WKSLEY CLUB The Wesley Harrior Club held its first official run of tho season 011 Saturday over u course of fivo miles. Thirty-five members were divided into threo packs. The slow and intermediate packs were given 11 and 3 minutes' start respectively 011 the fast pack. Tho race resulted: —J. Walker, 1 : ■A. Thrift, 2: M. Howitson, 3; R. Stephen, •1; P. Stewart, 5; A. Winstone, G. LYNNDALE CLUB A run over seven miles was held by the Lynndale Harrier Club on Saturday. Conditions were not good, the course being heavy. Good form was shown by Wipham, Pirrelt, Hallidny and R. Henshall in the slow pack, and Brifirss. Fowlds. and McCombio in tho fast pack. A 75yds sprint was won by Harris, with Briggs second and I!. Henshall third.

TECHNICAL OLD BOYS' CLUB '

The 1934 season of the Technical Old Boys' Harrier Club was opened on Saturday, when 45 members competed over a course of about four miles.
