CHARGE OF FORGERY
FARM HAND BEFORE COURT [FROM OUR OWN COHUKSI'ONDKNT] HAMILTON. Saturday A charge of forging a cheque for £5 15s was preferred against Norman Langley "Rowland, aged 35, a farm hand, before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day. Detective-Sergeant Thompson asked for a remand until May 14. He said a number of other charges of a similar nature would be preferred against accused.
- Mr. E. J. Stewart, for accused, asked for bail, but the application was opposed by the police and was refused.
