Barker . . . . . . 4,663 The poll for the Basingstoke seat at the general election in October, 1931, resulted as follows: —Viscount Lymington (Conservative), 23,523; Miss F. L. Joseph (Liberal), 6106; C. A. Goatcher (Labour), 4124.
