FOUR SEASONS IN ONE DAY; A visitor who arrived in Christchurch from Lewis Pass complained of having four seasons in the one day. It snowing when his party left in the morning, was warm and sunny when they passed through Hanmer, while a hot scorching nor-west was encountered later in the day.
