MAORI GATHERING
OPENING OF MEETING HOUSE [*"K01I OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] MORRIXSVILLE, Saturday The largest gathering of Maoris seen at Morrinsville for many years is expected during the next few days, when about 1000 Maoris will assemble at the Rukumoana pa, about three miles south of the town. Visitors arrived today from the Maori settlements at Parawera, near Te Awamutu, Maungatautari, near Cambridge, Matangi, Gordonton, Tauhei, Waharoa and Okauia.
The Maori /'King," Koroki, will arrive on Tuesday, and the meeting house of the pa will be officially opened by him on Wednesday. The Maori village committee has secured a water supply from the borough service and electric lighting has been installed at the pa.
