[IIV TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] OPOTIKI, Saturday
When a farmer, Mr. J. Parkinson, was riding a horse on the hills about a quarter of a mile from Mr. E. Parkinson's homo, the horso fell, pinning tho rider underneath.,
J\lr. Parkinson realised that if ho allowed tho horso to rise it would have to roll over his head, so ho held the horso down and called for help. His calls were heard by his brother, who hastened to his rescue. By this time the horseman had been pinned down for nearly half an hour. An examination showed that no bones had been broken, but'lie was badly bruised and shaken.
