Borough of Newmarket CONVERSION OF LOANS FIUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given in terms of sub-section (2) of Section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, that at a Special Meeting of the Newmarket Borough Council called for the purpose and held on Wednesday, the 1 Ith day of April, 1934, the following Resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the said Council on Thursday, the 26th day of April, 1934, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon:— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf / by Section 9of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and by the Newmarket Borough Council / Loans Conversion Orders 1934, Numbers I find 2 and of all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Newmarket Borough Council dotlf hereby RESOLVE to issue new securities in conversion of the existing securities to which the said Conversion Orders apply, subject to and in accordance with the said Conversion Orders, a Precis of which is set out below, viz.:—— 1. Date of Conversion: Ist June, 1934, in the case of Proposal No, 1, and 2nd July, 1934, in the case of Proposal No. 2. 2. The new securities will provide for the repayment of the Loans by Instalments spread over 22 years in the c ® se Proposal No. I and 25 years in the case of Proposal No. 2, . // and will bear interest at per cent per annum, payable half-yearly. 3. Notice will be given to holders of existing securities. . 4. Holders of existing securities may make application in writing for conversion. 5. Dissent may be signified on or before the 15th June, 1934, in the case of Proposal No. 1, and on or before the I 6th 11 July, 1934, in the case of Proposal No. 2. 6. If notice of dissent not received, securities will be converted. 7. Holders of securities which are converted shall not be entitled to receive any further interest or receive the new securif ties or interest thereon until the existing securities have been surrendered. / 8. Subject to the foregoing clause, interest due on such existing securities shall be payable not later than one month from the date of conversion. 9. New securities will be issued in the form of Debentures in '/ the form prescribed by the Orders in Council. 10. Premiums due on conversion will be paid in cash. 11. Principal and interest in respect of new securities is payable ■ • in New Zealand. 12. A new Specia 1 Rate will be made and levied in respect of each Conversion Loan as security for the new securities / and unconverted securities. 13. The Orders in Council relative to the above are deposited at the Newmarket Borough Council Office, Municipal Building, 'I Broadway, Newmarket, and may be inspected by any interested persons during office hours.
