The Stud is being entirely dispersed consequent upon the sale of portion of the Gwavas Estate. The Gwavas Stud is (lie oldest purebred stud in New Zealand or Australia, having been established in 1888. Never before in the history of the Dominion has such a magnificent collection of Aberdeen Angus cattle been offered for sale. The herd through its history has been most extensively culled and 'the standard right through is a very exceptional one. Included in the offering are three Supreme. Royal Champions and four Royal Show Champions, in addition to scores of other prize-winners. Not only are the best proven strains in the Dominion represented in the herd, but it has been kept right tip to date by importations of the highest class stud bulls and females obtainable in Scotland and England. Every animal catalogued is registered in the New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders' Herd Book. Right through the history of the herd not a single animal has failed to pass the tuberculin test. Selling will commence promptly and the catalogue order will be followed as near as possible. The stud cows and heifers have been pastured with the following sires: Sumach of Gwavas (Supreme Royal Champion), Acute of Akitio (bred by F. Armstrong, Esq.), F.lpenor of Gwavas, Hori of Tnut.ine (bred by Messrs. ITerrick Bros.), Punch of Waiterenui (bred by W. A. McFarlane, Esq.), and Pompey of Bywell (bred by Jas Ellingham, Esq.).
