PRESENCE OF MIND
The nervous mother is apt to underline that element of fear with which we are all born. When accidents occur at home in the majority of cases the child cries more from fear than from the effects of injury. Anything which the parents may do to exaggerate the seriousness of the incident will make of a minor injury an affair of great importance. When accidents occur mother should try to remain calm, cool and collected. She should make light of the affair and then set about the correct treatment without fuss. Tetich the children to pick themselves up after a fall and not to make a fuss about a few odd bruises or abrasions.
