FAIR TO CIOI'DY WEATHER NORTHERLY WINDS The Government meteorologist re. ported last evening as follows:—There is still little change in the situation of ;j"i the anti-cyclone covering New Zealand $ and an area to the east. A slight westerly depression, however, is located over the western Tasman Sea, and is likely to pass during the week-end. The indications are for northeasterly 'to northerly winds over the northern half of the North Island, and elsewhere northerly to north-westerly winds, moderate to strong. Seas rather , rough to rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, otherwise smooth • to moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea, freshening- northerly to northwest winds, and smooth to moderate, hut rising seas.
