ART UNION WINNER
WIFE OF A FARMER RESIDENT NEAR NEW PLYMOUTH [by telegraph OTO correspondent! NEW PLYMOUTH, ThursSfty After the claims of several possible winners of the first prize in the Golden Chance art union had been disposed of it was definitely established to-day that the •winner is Mrs. P. Brophy, wife of a farmer at Pungarehu, about 26 miles from New Plymouth. This was nob the first time Mrs. Brophy had invested in an art union ticket, but it was her first success. The ticket was purchased from a girl street seller in New Plymouth a short time before the closing date for the selling of tickets.
