Thursday The changing of the name of the Pabekohe Domain to Bledisloe Park ■was finalised last evening, when the Borough Council decided to acknowledge receipt from the Lands and Survey Department of a copy of the Qrder-in-Council published in the New Zealand Gazette, whereby the name was changed and the council was appointed as the Bledisloe Park Domain Board. It was decided that the storm water drain at present being constructed in Bledisloe Park should be extended a further 120 ft., this work increasing the original estimate of £'253 by £l2 or £ls. The Municipal Band wrote thanking the council for the increased grant and invited members to attend a full dress parade in Bledisloe Park at 10.30 a.m. on Sundav. It was decided to repaint the street name signs, numbering about 50. A committee consisting of the Mayor, Mr. John Routly, Mr. G. S. Parvin and the clerk, Mr. S. Bish, was appointed to make arrangements for Anzac Day. The Franklin Returned Soldiers' Association is also to be asked to appoint a representative to the committee. The Works Committee was asked to report on the provision of a suitable camping site, in addition to the present one. It was reported by the town clerk that rates collected and the revenue from water supply to February 28, the date of the imposition of ihe 10 per cent penalty, totalled £ll,llO, or 88.9 per cent of £12,472, which was the requirement for the year's working under the approved estimates. The percentage of the current year's rates collected at February 28 was 83.3 and 40.5 of arrears. Collections for the year ending March 31. 1933, were 83.75 per cent of current rates and 35.73 per cent of arrears.
