REMUERA TENNIS CLUB

ALL-DAY TOURNAMENT A delightful all-dav progressive tennis tournament, in which over 100 players took part, was arranged by the lady members of the Remuera Lawn Tennis Club yesterday. Keenly-contested games provided interesting entertainment for the many onlookers present, and some excellent tennis was witnessed. On behalf of the ladies' committee, Miss F. Brookes, the secretary, welcomed" the guests, and at the conclusion of play, Mrs. 1). Macfarlane, wife of the president, presented the prizes. The blue, silver and gold eoloure of the club were used extensively in the decorative scheme, and bowls of dahlias decorated the luncheon and tea tables, which were set out of doors. The ladies' committee responsible for the arrangements comprised Mrs. K. Hall, Mrs. J. Dreadon, Miss F. Brookes, Miss C. Wells and Miss M. Macfarlane. Among thoso present were Mrs. G. N.
