PRANKLIN CARNIVAL P—SECONDARY SCHOOL EVENTS [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday The Franklin Secondary Schools' Sports Association held its first swimming carnival. to-day, at the Pukekoiie Municipal Baths. -There were good entries and very close finishes. In the senior division Wesley College secured '3B championship points, Pukekohe Technical High School 34, and St. Stephen's 11; In 'tha junior division Pukekohe. MATAMATA CARWIVAL SUCCESSFUL ■ E.INA.L NIGHT [from our own correspondent] MATAMATA, Wednesday The Matamata Swimming Club'n final carnival of the season wan held in the Okauia baths last evening. There were large entries, including 6wimmer3 from Rotorua, Wellington, Paeroa, Moirinsville, Hamilton,. Matangi and other clubs, and the carnival was one of the best of the season from a racing point of view. A feature of the evening was the success of members of tlia Ohinemutu Club, Rotorua. There were, 11 entries in the 50 yards Ssuth Auokland championship, and the winner was A. Somervell (Hamilton Old Boys), who beat H. Manaki (Ohinemutu) by 2ft.._,in the Rood time of 2G 4-ss.
