NUMBER OF ENTRIES DAIRY STOCK AND HORSES [ FROM OUR OWN COIIRESPONOKNT] MORRINSVILLE. Wednesday The Morrinsvillc Agricultural and Pastoral Society's loth annual show was held to-day in cloudy and windy Weather. Several light showers fell and affected the attendance. The entries exceeded 700, and showed an increase of 60 over those of last year, the number constituting a record. ' There was an exceptionally strong entry of .Tersevs and other breeds of dairy cattle were fairly well represented. The dairy stock was of excellent quality. Sheep made a strong section, while pigs were penned in large numbers. Special interest attached to the school calf classes and the judge commented favourably on the quality of the exhibits and the way in which the children had prepared them for the /■' show.

Keen interest was taken iu the horse classes, and the ponies were much more numerous than usual. There were many juvenile riders. The ring events attracted a good deal of attention and some •excellent jumping was witnessed. ThQ show was officially opened this .afternoon by the patron, Sir Stephen Allen."
