WOMEN PLAYERS
TOUR OF DOMINIONS LONDON PRESS COMMENT LONDON, March 5 The English. Women's Cricket Association -has accepted the invitation to send a team to play games' in Australia. and New Zealand.
The Evening Standard says:—" The women cricketers are so enthusiastic over the invitation to send a team to play 'test matches ' in Australia that they are abandoning winter sports to prepare for the tour. It may be too late to prevent what must be a parody on the great game. If the members of the 70 clubs affiliated with the Women's Cricket Association want to play what they choose to c£\ll cricket nothing will stop them. It is their affair if they choose to make a six months' tour of Australia, but if they choose to describe these games as ' tests ' it is an absurdity."
