WEDDING

MEULI—KISSLING A wedding of much interest was celebrated in St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, last evening, when -Miss Margaret Joan (Meg) Kissling. only daughter of Mrs. and tho late Mr. Herbert P. Kissling, of St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell. was married to Mjr. Nelson George Meuli, only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Meuli, of Wanganui. The Rev Canon W. Fancourt officiated, and Mr. Edgar Randal, played the wedding music. Beautiful green hydrangeas and dahlias in sunset shades were used to decorate the church. The bride, who was given away bv her brother, Mr. Trevor Kissling, wore a charming gown of ivory diagonal twilled Ottoman faille, cut in long slender panels, the skirt flaring gracefully to form a long fan-shaped train, over which fell her veil of white tulle held in place by orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of Philippinese lilies. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Meg Russell, and Miss Ethel Seavill (Hamilton). They were dressed alike in frocks of water-lily green georgette, with short cape sleeves, and long tucked bodices flaring gracefully into fan pleats. They wore floral headdresses of sunset-shaded zinnias, matching their bouquets of zinnias and primulinas. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Neil Hay-Campbell, of Wanganui, as best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's mother. The rooms were attractively decorated with hydrangeas and bronzeshaded zinnias, Mrs. Kissling received her guests wearing a graceful gown of smoke-brown embossed georgette with yoke and inset panels of smoke-brown Chantilly lace. Her brown straw picture hat was trimmed with ostrich feathers, and she carried a bouquet of bronzeshaded roses. Mrs. Meuli, the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of nattier blue lace, and a small black tulle hat trimmed with blue. She carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums and maidenhair fern.
