NEW GRANDSTAND

CARLAW PARK STRUCTURE FACILITIES FOR NEW SEASON A decision to erect a new grandstand at Carlaw Park with up-to-date facilities for patrons and players, was made yesterday by the trustees of the Auckland Rugby Iveigne. The structure, wii:h concrete foundations and built-in worn!. will cost approximately £3OOO. and it is to seat between 2500 and 3000 spectators. Tentative plans were submitted yesterday hv the architects, Messrs. Piper and Brooker. The chairman of the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said financial negotiations ha:l been in progress for some time, and were completed with the sanction of his co-tri:stees. Messrs. E. J. Phelan anj John Storinont.
