LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
THE ONEHUNGA BRANCH INTERESTING REUNION HELD The annual reunion of members of the Onehunga branch of the League of Mothers was hold at Jellicoo Park last week. This being «tho first meeting of the new year there was a good attendance of members and their friends: They were cordially welcomed by the president, Mrs. W. J. Jordan. Mrs. S. 0. English, provincial president, gave an account of licr recent visits to the various country branches and a resume of theyr activities. In outlining the aims and objects of the league, Mrs. English stressed the loftiness of the ideals and the great importance of womanhood. The provincial secretary, Mrs, F. Whyte, described the routine work of the league. Many ladies assisted in providing the afternoon tea, and at its conclusion a small sale of fruit and cakes took place. During the afternoon several new members joined, and prospects appear bright for the coming year.
