DOMINION SWIMMERS SUCCESS OF AUCKLANDERS CRUMP WINS HUNDRED YARDS SURPRISE BY MISS LUDLOW [BY TELEGRAPH —PRFS9 ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday Although times recorded at the New Zealand national swimming championships yesterday were not sensational, and no records were broken, large and high-class fields started in every event, and there were some desperate finishes, particularly in the women's 220 yards national championship, in which the title-holder, Miss M. Leydon, Auckland, was beaten by her team-mate, Miss N. Ludlow. The water was somewhat slow.
