MEN ON RELIEF WORK DECISION IN WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday The result of. the ballot taken in Wellington on the national relief workers' strike issue was announced in the Trades Hall this morning. The voting was as follows: —In favour of striking, 705; against, 1129. It was stated that 780 voting papers had not biiien returned. There were about 300 at the meeting, and a motion recommending the national executive of the National Unenployed. Workers' Movement to withheld strike action until a more opportune time was carried. A meeting called at Petone by the Unemployed Workers' Movement was at tended' by about 150 this morning, and there were only ten dissentients to a resolution asking tho national executive of the movement to postpone ac ;ion on the strike issue until a complete ballot could be taken among all relief workers of the Dominion.
