MOTOR-CAR CATCHES FiRE DRIVER'S FORTUNATE ESCAPE [from OTTR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A fortunate escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr. H. Forno, of 62 Calliope Road, Devonport, at Rukuhia, Hamilton,' this afternoon. Mr. Forno was driving a small car along the Great South Road from Auckland to Wellington, and when at Rukuhia, miles south of Hamilton, the car skidded and fell over an embankment. It turned over several times, caught fire and was completely destroyed.

Mr. Forno, who was the only occupant of the car, was thrown clear and escaped with minor injuries.
