OVERCAST AND WARM SHOWERY IN THE NORTH The Government meteorologist re. • ported last evening as follows: —An intense anti-cyclone is still centred near the Chatham Islands, hut a deeif cyclone, located on the coast of New South Wale 3, is .-moving south-south--eastward. Indications are for moderate to fitrong and increasing norih-cast to northerly winds. Ssas rather rough to rough on the east coast north of Castfe*. point; elsewhere moderate, but later rising south of Cape Egmont. In the eastern Tasman Soa, strong north-east to northerly winds to gales and rough seas. The weather will be mainly fair to cloudy and warm to hot at first, but some scattered shonrcrs in North Auckland, and later conditions becoming unsettled in western districts, rain gradually developing.
