Feb. 2 The Governor of New South Wales, Sir Philip Game, and Lady Game, also more than 60 New South Wales farmers and their wives, among the passengers by the Monowai, which sailed for Wellington this evening. The farmers will visit scenic resorts in the Dominion and also inspect the agricultural and pastoral industries in various districts. Speaking at an informal luncheon today, Mr. Hugh Main, New South Wales Minister of Agriculture, said he hoped the younger men among the tourists would bring back useful knowledge of how things are done in New Zealand, and how improvements would bo possible here. Mr. L. J. Scl-mitt, New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Australia, told how arrangements had been made for the visitors' convenience fo enable them to seo the most in tho least possible time. He said they would have an opportunity of studying New Zealand methods, and constructive criticism of these \v .aid he welcomed.

The party of New South Wale 3 farmers 011 tho Monowai are to pay a three weeks' visit to New Zealand. They are expected to arrive at Wellington on Monday. After touring the South Island the party will return to the North Island, arriving finally at Auckland on the evening of February 18 and leaving the following day by the Aorangi for Sydney. A somewhat similar tour was Miade by a number of Victorian farmers last February. The visitors will study existing pastoral methods and conditions and survey the results of those methods on the farms, and thence to the factories and marketing organisations. Visits will be made to the Wellington Milk Depot, the Kaiapoi Woollen Mills, the Canterbury Freezing Company's workß. Lincoln College and experimental sheep farms, the Canterbury and Southland grain areas, the fruit-growing districts and irrigation schemes of Central Otago, Massey College, the Arapuni hydro-electric power works, the Waikato Co-operative dairy factory and Ruakura State experimental farm. Scenic attractions to be included in the tour are Lake Wakatipu, Chateau Tongariro, Lake Taupo. Wairakei and Rotorua. The tour is being conducted under the auspices of the New South Wales Council of Agricultural Associations and is under the patronage of the New South Wales and New Zealand Departments of Agriculture. The chief aiin is to increase the cordial relationship that already exists between the Commonwealth and the Dominion, and between the agricultural organisations in both countries. While in Netf Zealand the party will bo accompanied by officers of the Government Tourist Bureau, who will be responsible for all the arrangements.
