WORKS TO REOPEN
EMPLOYMENT AT PORTLAND [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] "WHANG AREI, Friday The works of Wilsons (N.Z.) Portland Cement, Limited, at Portland, will definitely reopen on Monday after having been closed since the Christmas holidays. It was . originally intended that they would reopen? early in January, but owing to slackness of orders they remained closed. I't is now hoped the works will remain open during the whole of the coming winter. The number of men to be re-engaged is 110.
