ATTEMPT TO CROSS COOK STRAIT ENDS. IN FATALITY The swamping of this outboard motor-boat during an attempt to cross from to' Picton resulted in the death of the owner, Mr. H.. Clarke, who succumbed soon after being rescued by the steamer Kiwitea. A companion, Mr. F- Barrett-Wood, was saved.
