THREE TOYS COST £750 DOLL'S HOUSE FOR INDIA The Nawab of Bahawalpur went " toy-shopping " in London in December. He spent more than £750 in a single afternoon. This is what the Indian Prince bought at one store:—Two electric motor-cars at £SO each; a doll's house, 15ft. high, with six rooms, price £650. They were to bo seiit to his palace in India, packed in special cases. The cars are as big as an ordinary baby car and are driven and steered, in practically the same way as real motorcars. A child could live in the doll's house, which is a two-storey structure. The roof is 15ft. above the ground. On the ground floor there are a verandah, a hall, a dining room, and a sitting room, while the first floor comprises a bedroom and a bathroom The house is completely furnished, and all the furniture was specially made to exact scale. The furniture alone cost more than £l5O to make.
