SUBSIDISED SHIPPING
Sir, —The British Government should fight subsidy with subsidy. Australia and New Zealand are in no position to protest against subsidised shipping, since they have both subsidised all their exports by means of high exchange rates. '"To subsidise the dairying industry would keep going some uneconomic farms," according to Mr. Coates, who apparently fails to realise that subsidy already exists, though in such a clumsy form as to benefit the woolgrower, who needs it less, at the same per cent as tho dairvfarmor.
