MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT
COLLISION WITH CAR
CONDITION REPORTED SERIOUS
Severe head injuries were suffered by ' a motor-cyclist, Mr. Thoma* Edward Gallagher, aged 25, single, as a result of •ji collision with a small sedan motor-car at the junction ot Symonds and Wakefield Streets early yesterday afternoon. Mr. Gallagher, who is a traveller, resides at 58 Eden Vale Road, Mount Eden.
When the collision occurred both the car and the motor-cycle were pro* ceeding down Symonds Street, and Mr. Gallagher was thrown against a side window ,of the car. He received concussion and severe cuts to the head and an arm. The injured man was attended by Dn Keith S. Macky and wai taken to the Auckland Hospital in s St. John ambulance. His condition last evening was considered to b« serious. The driver of the inotor-car did not suffer injury to any extent. The motorcycle was damaged slightly, and the side of the car also suffered.
