Z CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST RACE TO WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Wednesday The first race for the New Zealand Z class championship was sailed today in a fresh wind over a ninc-inilo triangular course. Nine boats competed. Iho race resulted:—Wellington, 1; Kaiapoi, 2: Invercargill, 3. The Plimmerton boat capsized and Porirua was disqualified for fouling Lyttelton, which withdrew owing to a mishap to gear. The Christchurch boat was half-swamped in the last round. The next race will be held to-morrow morning.
