RATIONING OF TEACHERS
OVERCOMING DIFFICULTIES MINISTER'S PARTIAL SCHEME [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday The Taranaki Education Board has been active in bringing before the Minister of Education, Hon. R. Masters, tho serious difficulties caused in primary schools owing to the constant staff changes caused b.y the rationing of teachers to meet the unemployment difficulty. Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., chairman of the board, who sent a telegram to Mr. Masters dealing with the subject, received the following reply to-day:— "The question of rationing of teachers has been engaging my attention and I hope to announce a partial scheme for this year before tho end of tho week."
