An atmosphere of tense excitement and prolonged suspense is an attractive featuro of Mr. Wyndham Martyn's latest novel " Christopher Bond, Adventurer." Christopher Bond is a young man in whose blood the lust for excitement and adventure are insatiable and his sudden inspiration for a new profession—that of assisting the victims of blackmailers —provides him with ample opportunities to reveal his courage and confidence in the face of danger. The story commences with his adventures in England, but soon the young man departs for America and his experiences with a famous American gangster provide thrilling reading. The light-hearted young adventurer makes an instanf appeal to the reader and the book, containing as it does a charming mixture of humour and excitement, should bo a welcome addition to the bookshelf.
