Hamilton, "Hayslope," Tins been sold by the executors of the estate x»t*. the late Mrs. Alice Hooper to Mr. J. M. McNicol, of Claudelands, with 4J acres of land. • The homestead site is situated at Hillcrest, and formed part of a military allotment which was made available for settlement at the cessation of the Maori War, when Hamilton was established 70 years ago. The allotment, which originally consisted of 70 acres, was later subdivided, and part of it forms the site of the Hillcrest school.
