CRUISES OF WARSHIPS

VISITS TO THE SOUTH DIOMEDE LEAVES THIS MORNING H.M.S. Diomede will leave Auckland at 9.30 o'clock this morning to complete her Southern cruise. The warship was recalled to Auckland from Dunediu in order that two courtsmartial could bo liehl at the Devonport naval base last week.

Tho Diomede will return to Auckland from tho South on December 7, her former schedule date. H.M.S. Dunedin, which is on a cruise in tho South, is scheduled to return to Auckland next Saturday. Both warships' will remain in port over tho Christmas holidays.

H.M.S. Laburnum left for tho Hauraki Gulf on Saturday morning, and from the gulf she will cruise to Southern ports, returning to Auckland on January 25. Sho will bo followed by H.M.S. Veronica, which is to sail for Southern ports at six o'clock this evening. Tho Veronica's ports of call will be Tauranga, Napier, Lyttelton, Akaroa, Dunedin, Picton, Nelson and Wellington. From Wellington she will return to Auckland on January 31.
