HARBOUR BRIDGE SCHEME
NEGOTIATIONS ADVANCED - A meeting of directors of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Company, Limited, was hold yesterday, when a full report of tho visit to Australia of Mr. A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata, was received. Mr. Harris, who returned from Sydney by the Wanganella on Wednesday after conducting inquiries concerning tho harbour bridge project, attended tho meeting. It was stated subsequently that Mr. Harris' visit had proved in every way successful. Much valuable information had been gathered, which, it was felt, would greatly assist tho London negotiations now proceeding. The information would be cabled to London. Tho headway made in the negotiations was considered by the directors to be distinctly encouraging, tho latest news received from England indicating a decidedly forward movement.
A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Harris.
