NORTH AUCKLAND CLUB [prom our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday The North Auckland Homing Pigeon Club held its fifth senior race of the season for old birds from Taumarunui, an airline distance of 223 miles 871 yards. Tho weather was boisterous, the birds meeting with a hard north-easterly wind, with rain all the way. Following were the results:—Mr. J. A, Pickering's gay pied hen. velocity 1085.6 yards per minute, 1: Mr. L. Walker e Miss Vera, 1082.8 yds, 2; Mrs B. Parkins Coming Up. IOGO.Gyds, 3. _ _ ... The club also held a race from Te-Kuiti. which resulted as follows: —Mr. L. Walker s Master Barker, velocity 1222.08. yards per minute. 1; Mr. J A Pickering s Amy, 1210.8 yds, 2; Mrs. B. Parkin's Coming Up, 1200.5yd5, 3.
