TE KUITI BY-ELECTION [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE KUITI, Wednesday Keen interest was displayed in the by-election held to-day to fill the vacancy on the Te Kuiti Borough Council caused by Mr. W. Taverner leaving the district. The polling was heavy, the result being as follows:—T. M. O'Connell, 454 votes; G. B. Johnston, 428; informal, 1.
