Mr. F. Goldberg, of Sydney, governing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Limited, arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. He is at the Grand Hotel, and will leave for Sydney by the Wanganella to-morrow.
Mr. W. R. Hume, of Melbourne, managing director of the Hume Pipe Company (Aust.), Limited, and of Hume Steel, Limited, arrived from Australia by the Wanganella yeiter. day. Jle intends to spend a few weeks in New Zealand. He is at the Grand Hotel.
' Mr. D. 6. Clark, of Wellington, hai tendered his resignation from the Dominion executive of the New Zealand branch of the Red Cross Society owing to ill-health, states a Press Association message, but the executive decided yesterday to defer the acceptance of the resignation and to write to Mr. Clark expressing sympathy and good wishes for his recovery. *
Dr. Rene le Fort, professor of surgery at the University of Lille, France, arrived by the Wanganella yesterday from Sydney on a brief visit to tha Dominion. He is accompanied by Madame le Fort, M. J. le Fort," and M. Henri J. E. Neu. The party, which is making a world tour, will visit Rotorua, and will leave by the Monterey on September 23 for San Francisco.
Mr. E. D. Leishman, representative in America for R.K.O. Radio Pictures, arrived by the Wanganella from Sydney yesterday with Mr. R. R. Doyle, of Sydney, managing director of R.K.O. Radio Pictures (Australia), Limited. They are on a visit to the Wellington branch of 'the company and will inspect a number of theatres in various parts of the Dominion. They are at the Grand Hotel.
