CHURCH APPOINTMENT
BLIND NEW ZEALANDER NEW SOUTH WALES CHARGE SYDNEY, Sept. 1 The Rev. John Sinclair, a New Zcalander, has been appointed minister of the Hornsbv Presbyterian. Church. He has been blind since his early infancy and was trained at the New Zealand Institute for the Blind in Auckland, Canterbury University College and tho Dunedin Presbyterian Theological College.
The Her. John Sinclair was born_ in Auckland. He was trained at the New Zealand Institute for the Blind, Auckland, and received all his education there until ho was .about 1G years old. After having been coached privately for a time, he entered the Auckland 'University College, and subsequently Canterbury University College, taking tho arts course. He received his theological training at tho Dunedin Presbyterian Theological College, his first charge being in Canterbury. From Hornby ho went to Stirling, Otago, and later witered Princeton College, United States, but was forced to return to New Zealand for health reasons. Tho Hornsbv church is Mr. Sinclair's first charge in Australia. He is not totally blind, as he can distinguish light from dark, but he uses the Braille system for all his reading.
