VINES RETURNS TO FORM COMING CHICAGO TOURNEY MATCHES WITH AUSTRALIANS By Teleprraph—Press Association— Copyright (Received September 1. 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 31 In the East versus West tennis tourney at Orange, New Jersey, to-day Vines displayed his best form for many weeks and defeated Allison, G—3, 6—2. Threo of the four members of this year's United States Davis Cup team, headed by Vines, were selected to-day for the team to play Crawford and tho other visiting Australians in Chicago on September 12 and 13. Others will bo Allison, Lott, Gledhill and Parker. With Crawford will bo McGrath, Turnbull and Quist. Vines is expected to meet Crawford and McGrath to play Parker. Four singles match and ono doubles match have been arranged.
